Second call for Europlanet 2020 RI proposals

Opens on 15 March 2016 - Deadline extended to 13 May 2016

The Europlanet RI Transnational Access programme supports all travel and local accommodation costs of European researchers (and of researchers from Third Countries under certain conditions), at the facility for an approved period of time to conduct their own research programme. Applications are made in response to annual calls and are subject to peer review. It should be noted that applicants must apply to use facilities outside the country in which they are employed (i.e. it is a transnational access). Applications can be made for analytical time ranging from single days up to several weeks and up to two researchers can be fully financed in each research visit (note this does not preclude users bringing other members of their team supported by other funding). The TA programme does not fund capital equipment for users to develop experiments for the facility and consumable costs are limited. The TA programme is only open to fund projects that do not have funding from other financial sources.

Through the Distributed Sample Analysis Facility (DSAF) researchers can propose using four major facilities at CRPG

  • Ion probe facility
  • Helium and Nitrogen Isotope facility
  • Stable Isotope facility
  • Radiogenic Isotope facility

The application will require contact details as well as a proposal of 2 pages of A4 filled online that outlines the scientific question, research methodology, relevance to planetary science research and rationale for the choice of facility.
