The stability of reference samples

Abstract
Thanks to a recent re-standardization on European basis of two
iron ores and a blast furnace slag, studied 6 to 10 years ago
by only French laboratories, it is shown that :
- the certified values do not deserve changes,
- the analytical dispersions become smaller,
- atomic absorption spectrometry allows to determine with precision
very low Ca and Mg contents in high grade iron ores.
It follows that under the storage conditions used, the samples
have remained stable in time.
