Abstract
Eighteen geochemical reference samples have been analyzed for
iodine using an automated photometric method. Few comparative
values are available in the literature but of the six that are
available four show good agreement with the data reported. In
all but one case the values obtained are less than 0.3 ppm, the
exception being a bauxite (B.C.S. 395) with 8.8 ppm I.
